State what? State Champs!
I think becoming the 2008 class 1A state champs in football is AWESOME! I think in achieving this it'll help our boys and everyone in the community really believe in ourselves and each other. On the field they players come together as one, and play as a team, and I think that winning the 'ship will do the same for other people. People in the community are huge supporters of Triopia's football program, and I think after winning this, it will get even more support. And it deserves it, we have a great football team, coach, and players. We haven't won the state championship since 1975, and so becoming the state champs this year, I believe it will only be an positive influence on everyone, and we will be even better next year.

REVENGE!
I think revenge is okay some of the time. If getting revenge is hurting or killing someone, then it's not okay. If revenge is winning a football game against the team that beat you out of moving on in playoffs the year before, then revenge is sweet. Sweet, sweet revenge!
I think Mr. More is right about revenge. "Those who plot the destruction of others often perish in the attempt." If someone is killing someone else to get revenge, they are the ones who would be going to jail. If convicted of murder, they'll probably serve for life, therefore perishing in their attempt. In other words revenge can be a good thing, or a bad thing, it just depends on what the revenge is being used for.

'08 Election
With the election yesterday, everyone is talking about the outcome of it today. I'm not necessarily upset, or happy, or anything. I'm not old enough to vote, I missed it by a week, so I don't really have a say in the matter. I also don't really have any opinion about who should have won or who would make a better president. I mean either way, history was made yesterday. It would have either been the first African-American as president or the first female vice-president. I did kind of make predictions. I figured Barack Obama would win, just because it's a change from President Bush, and he seemed to be more popular with the citizens. For American Politics I was on the McCain team, but I'm more in favor of Obama, so if I was old enough to vote, that would have definately effected my vote. As for their campaigns, I do think they influenced the vote. Obama had more money to spend on advertising and he did. More people saw his campaigns than McCain's, therefore more people would've voted for Barack Obama. If I had the opportunity to vote for any one person in the world to be president, I have no idea who it would be, I really don't. I guess that's something I'll have to think about and get back to you on.

resolving conflicts
The only conflict that comes to mind on a spur of the moment is trying to convince my parents to let me go to see a movie past curfew. There really weren't any circumstances other than some friends invited me to a midnight movie. My parents have me on an 11:00 p.m. curfew on weekends. Mom said yes when I told and asked her about it the day before, but then dad said no. "This sucks." is all I had to say about it. KWay's mom let her go and she's younger than me. After I told them that KWay's older brother and Caty were going, mom still said yes, but dad didn't. Our little movie outing was on the same night as KWay and Jason's dad's benefit. After arguing with my dad about it, and KWay's mom talking to him, and working at the benefit, he let me go. I'm really glad he did too, I've never seen Fight Club before. It was really good and we all had a lot of fun. I learned that if you try and work through your conflict and explain everything thats going on, getting both sides of the story, the outcome may end up being in your favor, like it was for me.
